Wick Draining – efficient and cost effective solution for settlement control

BDX Civil is Northlands only Wick Draining contractor.

Wick draining is a highly effective and proven means of de-watering low lying and settlement prone land. A custom built wick draining rig hydraulically driven by a 32T excavator puts us in a league of our own.

Designed specifically for geotechnical remediation and settlement control alongside state highways and areas of low lying land, we can install wick drains to a depth of 14m and achieve up to 400 in a day. With over 1 million lineal meters of wick drains installed to date – we are the experts!

All projects undertaken are carefully thought through and planned to ensure that wicks are not damaged once installed (rendering them ineffective). A full quality pack is drawn up upon completion of each project providing traceability for every wick installed and the depth achieved. We are also able to offer advice and technical support by the way of early contractor involvement to ensure that the wick design is fit for purpose.
